Competition Rules

Monthly Points
The monthly  paper collection will form the basis of the competition.  A point will be awarded for each bag of paper collected.  These points will be halved if the paper is not ready for collection on time.  Paper should be sorted into High and Low Grades (see below).

Any additional materials collected with your bags of paper will gain a point per 50 pupils at the school.  Foil, cans and toners can all be collected along with the paper.

How the competition works

Schools will be awarded points from the September paper collections through until the May collections have been completed.  To find the Top Recyclers, the number of points each school has collected will be divided by the number of pupils at the school. The winner will be the school with the most points per pupil.

Additional Points

As well as the monthly points your school can earn additional points - see table below.
