Recycling in Bristol Secondary Schools and Colleges |
All Bristol secondary schools and colleges (whether funded by the LEA or not) are entitled to free recycling collections. These are contracted by Bristol City Council through SITA to the same company that collect from households across the city, ECT.
| Schools and colleges are given a mini recycling centre (MRC) to collect their materials. A member of ECT's staff visits each premises to discuss a location that is convenient and safe as well as accessible for the MRC collection vehicle. |
 |
| Schools and colleges develop their own systems for collecting the materials and depositing them in the MRC. If you would like adivice, based on the experiences of other schools in the area, please contact Helen Peake, Education Officer for Bristol, on 0117 914 3453 or email her. |

NEW!

Pupils will be familiar with these boxes from home and also from their primary schools. To order your boxes please contact Helen Peake (see above for details.) |
