Might be Useful

  KS1 - Might Be Useful Basic Resource Set

Carefully tailored to fit the demands of the national curriculum and the Literacy Hour, these resources provide more than 2 weeks of literacy and music work suitable for Y1 and Y2 pupils. Literacy activities include guided reading, text and picture sequencing, cloze procedure, diary writing, character study, labeling and lists. Music activities include singing 'recycled' songs, exploring sounds, using simple notation and composing / performing a musical narration of the story. These activities are easily implemented by non-music specialists.

This basic pack comprises 'Might Be Useful' in PowerPoint format, 5 copies of the book, and teachers’ resource on CD. Other supporting resources are also available.

  KS2 - Scrapman Basic Resource Set:

This resource provides materials for more than 2 weeks of 3Rs-related literacy work for KS2 pupils, using 'Scrapman' and non-fiction texts as a starting point. Activities include diary and letter writing, persuasive writing, sequencing, charts, poster design, a study of fonts, text and content of leaflets, writing frames, note-taking and presentation planning.

The basic pack comprises a 'Scrapman' big book, a small book and the teachers’ resource book on CD.

Contact TRC if you are in the market for any promotional materials including leaflets to promote kerbside recycling collections, washable nappy campaigns, subsidised compost bins, Mini Recycling Centres and much more. In fact, if you have an interest to promote your waste minimisation campaign and recycling service, TRC can help using the expertise and knowledge from skilled staff.

Give-aways, merchandising, staff uniforms and recycled products are just a few of resources TRC can produce. These can be tailored to fit exactly the house style, brand image and messages of the client. Some examples include recycled Christmas wrapping paper, erasers, pencils, tee shirts, caps, and reusable card labels. Larger, more unusual items commissioned include life size compost mascots, ‘bendy wire’ recycling games for events, ‘cut-away’ bins and compost bins to show contents at events.

TRC is adept at designing and delivering all types of exhibition material from posters through to signage and large stands for events, conferences and exhibitions.
